A small group of students with outstanding potential is selected to work with a scholar or professional on research projects. Opportunities are available within the research areas that are a focus of IBHRI’s work. Each intern is assigned a mentor. Interns may work together in a research cluster or may work one-on-one with their mentor. Students should have support from a sponsoring university or be within the framework of an academic program, as internships at IBHRI are non-remunerated. Interns working on a federally funded grant or cooperative agreement may receive a stipend not to exceed the institutional allowance set by the HHS Secretary. Students receiving financial aid must contact their educational institution’s office of financial aid to determine if a stipend impacts financial aid eligibility.
